Signature piece

The two-hand mug

Heavy enough to feel intentional, plain enough to reach for without thinking. The studio's favourite compliment is that it disappeared into someone's kitchen.

The story

About the work.

Savor the Moment Studio makes tableware for the meals nobody photographs. Weeknight bowls, mugs that fit two hands, plates with a little weight to them.

Everything is thrown in small runs in a shared Brighton studio and glazed in a narrow palette — speckled cream, clay body brown, and one deep green pulled from a lake in the Upper Peninsula.

The studio's favourite compliment is that a piece disappeared into someone's kitchen. That's the goal: not decoration, but daily use.

The best pot I've made is the one someone reaches for without thinking.
