FOR CREATORS · FALL 2026 FOUNDING SEASON

Turn what you create into more ways to be discovered.

MOXAIC™ connects local creators with independent businesses for thoughtfully matched pop-ups, workshops, demonstrations, performances, tastings, retail collaborations, and other in-person experiences.

You do not need a polished pitch, a large following, or a ready-made event. Tell us what you make or know, and we will explore what could fit.

No cost to join · About 5 minutes to sign-up · Every submission read by a person

Measurable impact

Your work creates measurable impact.

When you host experiences through MOXAIC™ you're doing more than sharing your creativity.

Verified attendance, guest feedback and community participation help demonstrate the value creators bring to local economies.

As that impact grows, so can investment in future opportunities.

What you build

Build more than a portfolio.

  • Verified Feedback
  • Community Reach
  • Future Sponsorship Opportunities

What counts as an experience

Most first experiences are smaller than you think.

You do not have to teach a class. Most founding creators will start with something that takes an hour and looks a lot like a good conversation.

  • 60 minutes · no set-up required

A table at a coffee shop

Bring your work, set it on a table, talk to whoever stops. That's the whole thing.

  • 30 minutes · people watch

    A short demonstration

Do the thing you already do — throw a pot, sketch, plate a dish — while people gather.

  • 45 minutes · no prep

    A drop-in Q&A

Sit down with a few people who want to know how you got started and how you make what you make.

  • 2–3 hours · flexible

    A retail pop-up

A shelf or a corner in a shop for an afternoon, with you there to talk about the work.

  • Come and go · no seats

    A standing experience

No chairs, no schedule, no roster. People stop, look, ask, and move on.

  • 4–6 people · 60 minutes

    A tiny group session

Small enough to feel like a kitchen table, not a classroom.

  • 30–40 minutes

    A short set or reading

Play, read, or perform once through in a room that's already full.

  • 60 minutes · casual

    A behind-the-counter hour

Work on an in-progress piece in public and let people ask questions while you do.

What you receive

What MOXAIC™ can help you build.

  • New ways to earn

Explore paid workshops, product sales, pop-ups, demonstrations, collaborations, and other opportunities shaped around your work. Not every format is paid — compensation is discussed before anything is confirmed.

  • Local discovery

Meet people in settings where they can spend meaningful time with your work instead of scrolling past it.

  • A MOXAIC™-created gallery

MOXAIC™ writes, edits, and designs your gallery using the information and images you provide.

  • Thoughtful business introductions

Selected creators may be introduced to businesses whose space, audience, and goals align with their work.

  • Experience development support

We help turn an idea, process, product, or skill into a format that feels natural for you.

  • Founding Season recognition

Selected founding participants will be recognized as part of the group that helped launch MOXAIC™.

Earnings and ownership

Your work remains yours.

You retain ownership of your work, brand, existing photographs, products, customer relationships, and independent sales channels.

Creators keep 100% of product sales. MOXAIC™ does not collect a commission or transaction fee from what creators sell.

The creator is paid by the party funding the experience — typically the attendees through product sales or ticket sales, the hosting business, or another agreed-upon funding source. MOXAIC™ does not employ creators or pay them directly. We facilitate introductions and help coordinate the experience, and all compensation terms are agreed upon before anyone commits.

Your product sales

  • You keep 100%. MOXAIC™ takes no commission and no transaction fee.
  • You process your own payments through whatever you already use.
  • MOXAIC™ is not the seller of record and does not provide a point-of-sale system.
  • You handle payment processing, sales tax where applicable, and income tax reporting.

Who counts as a creator

If you make it, play it, cook it, build it, or teach it — you're a creator here.

MOXAIC™ is not one aesthetic. Our founding group spans hands, sound, food, ink, and machines — first-timers and thirty-year veterans, side hustles and full studios, every background and every part of Southeast Michigan.

The creator journey

From first conversation to a growing local presence.

Seven steps, each one a conversation rather than a form. You stay an independent business the whole way through, and you are never more than one email away from knowing exactly where things stand.

  1. Step 01

Tell us about your creative work

About 5 minutes to sign-up. What you make, perform, teach, or know. No pitch, no portfolio site, no following required.

  2. Step 02

    Meet the MOXAIC™ team

A relaxed conversation about your work, your goals, your schedule, and what you would and would not want to host.

  3. Step 03

    We build your creator gallery

You send what already exists. MOXAIC™ writes, edits, and designs your gallery, then waits for your approval before publishing.

  4. Step 04

We match you with a participating storefront

We introduce you to an independent business whose space, audience, and goals genuinely suit your work.

  5. Step 05

    Confirm your participation

Format, date, capacity, materials, and compensation are agreed in writing. Nothing is scheduled without your yes.

  6. Step 06

    Host your experience

We handle listings, reservations, reminders, and check-in so you can focus on the room.

  7. Step 07

    Grow your local presence

Photos, attendance and feedback come back to you — along with introductions to more businesses and the regional creator network.

After your first experience

The first one is the start of the relationship, not the end of it.

Hosting once is where most opportunities stop. With MOXAIC™ it's where the useful part begins.

  1. Then 01

    Photographs come back to you

Images from the room — yours to keep, use, and post, wherever photography was part of the plan.

  2. Then 02

    Introductions to more businesses

Storefronts talk to each other. A good afternoon in one shop is the reference for the next.

  3. Then 03

    More invitations

Second and third experiences, seasonal features, and requests that arrive because people saw you work.

  4. Then 04

    The regional creator network

Other founding creators across Southeast Michigan — collaborators, referrals, and shared dates.

  5. Then 05

    Repeat opportunities

Standing tables, recurring formats, and returning customers who now know where to find you.

  6. Then 06

    A growing local presence

Season over season, a name people in your own city recognise without being reminded.

What you're actually building

Build a creative business people remember.

Hosting an experience is the mechanism. What you keep afterwards is the point: people who know your name, businesses who want you back, and a local reputation that compounds season after season.

  • Customers who come back

Someone who spent an hour with you at a counter buys differently than someone who scrolled past you.

  • Relationships with real storefronts

One good afternoon in a shop usually turns into an invitation to the next one.

  • A local reputation

Being known in your own city is slower than going viral, and it lasts considerably longer.

  • Work that keeps arriving

Commissions, collaborations, stock in a shop, a standing monthly table — the things that follow being seen in person.

Because this is our founding season, we're intentionally keeping participation simple while we learn alongside our creator community.

Founding Season participants are helping shape the future of MOXAIC™. Before the 2027 season begins, we'll announce the annual membership model, its benefits, and its pricing. Beginning in 2027, MOXAIC™ expects to transition to an annual creator membership model with additional benefits and opportunities.

You stay your own business

MOXAIC™ is a platform, not an employer.

Independent Creator Notice

MOXAIC™ is a platform that connects independent creators with participating businesses for in-person experiences. Participation through MOXAIC™ does not create an employment, agency, franchise, or independent contractor relationship with MOXAIC™. Creators operate their own businesses and remain responsible for their products, pricing, taxes, business licenses, and business practices.

After you express interest

No silence, no guessing.

Here is exactly what happens once your application arrives.

  1. 01Within about two weeks

A member of the MOXAIC™ team reads your application in full. Every submission read by a person — nothing is scored by software.

  2. 02If there's a fit

We invite you to a short conversation to talk through your work, your goals, and the formats you'd enjoy.

  3. 03After that conversation

We begin building your creator profile and looking for the right business match. You approve your profile before it is published.

  4. 04Fall 2026

The founding season opens across Southeast Michigan with the first public MOXAIC™ experiences.
